Student Outgoing Exchange Application Form

  • Exchange Applications for 2021 must be submitted by 4 September 2020.

Kindly note the application deadline for Outbound Exchange has been extended to Monday, 14 September 2020.

In applying for a study abroad opportunity, you should be aware that:

Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Business Science students who require Macroeconomics II (ECO2004) as a requirement to proceed in their degrees in the following year can no longer choose the University of Amsterdam option. This is because there is no equivalent of ECO2004 nor BUS2010 offered in the second semester and the timing of the exchange is such that it is not possible to do the ECO2004 Summer Term course.

The International Academic Programmes Office cannot guarantee that all advertised opportunities will be available every semester.
Until formally notified in writing by IAPO of the success of your application and final placement, you should not de-register from courses or cancel your student housing.
You must be a registered UCT student (undergraduate or postgraduate) at the time of the exchange.
You will pay full UCT fees for the entire period of the exchange (i.e. no fee reductions will be given for the period).
