The International Academic Programmes Office is responsible for leading and co-ordinating the development of internationalisation at UCT, and promoting the integration of diverse communities across the university.
IAPO stimulates the promotion of internationalisation in all aspects of UCT's activities, including research, learning, curriculum development and innovation, recruitment and student integration. This role of IAPO is stipulated in the UCT policy on Internationalisation in 2006.
The Internationalisation Management Advisory Group (IMAG) is a policy reference group and adviser for the Deputy Vice-Chancellor on internationalisation matters at UCT. IMAG is serviced by IAPO.
