UCT's participation in WUN is overseen by a local Steering Group including the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Internationalisation; Cluster Manager: Strategic Support, Research Office; and Manager: Mobility, Partnerships & Programmes, International Academic Programmes Office (IAPO).

Vice Chancellor Dr Max Price is the Chair of the WUN Partnership Board, responsible for advising the Chief Executive on the strategic direction of the network. Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Danie Visser sits on the WUN Academic Advisory Group which is responsible for overseeing the academic portfolio of the network and advising the Partnership Board on strategy regarding the size and shape of this portfolio.

Manager: Mobility, Partnerships & Programmes, Ms Lara Dunwell, from IAPO, sits on the WUN Coordinator Group, responsible for implementing strategic decisions made by the Partnership Board and Academic Advisory Group.

The International Academic Programmes Office together with the Research Office, act as the local contact for WUN at UCT.
